Camps

Spring and summer vacation camps are a great way for kids to take a break from the ordinary and try something new! RIVERSPORT offers rowing, kayaking and outdoor adventure camps to introduce kids to water sports. 2012 Camp Schedule and Registration

Rowing

Learn the basics of rowing in a novice camp, then fine tune your skills at an intermediate camp later in the summer.  All camp participants are eligible to join the Chesapeake Junior Crew in the fall. Camps take place in week-long sessions and once you’ve completed a novice camp, you can participate in the intermediate camp, then kick it up a notch at the high performance camp at the end of the summer!

Kayaking

Looking for an exciting experience that offers kids individual achievement as well as team adventures? Adventure Camp participants have fun and stay cool while learning basic paddling skills and water safety in racing kayaks, canoes and dragon boats – plus enjoy off-water activities such as bicycling and outdoor games! As paddling skills increase, all camp participants can join the RIVERSPORT Junior Sprint Kayak team. We provide all equipment and a snack; you just pack a lunch.
