Adventure Birthdays
Plan the party everyone will talk about – an OKC RIVERSPORT Adventure Birthday. From high-flying adventures to on-the-water activities, Adventure Birthdays offers everything to make your child’s party a blast, including room to open presents and eat cake! Dragon Boating
Dragon boating is the world’s fastest growing water sport. Dragon boats have been popular for centuries in Asian countries and in recent years have been celebrated in festivals around the world. In the U.S., you’ll find dragon boats on the water from Boston and Philadelphia to Tampa Bay, Seattle and Austin…and now in Oklahoma City.
The Boathouse Experience
Can you guess what it means to “feather” an oar? And what would you do if the coxswain called out “weigh enough?” The Boathouse Experience offers a fascinating tour of the Chesapeake or Devon Boathouse where you’ll learn all about both rowing and kayaking. You’ll have a close-up look at our 60 ft. rowing shells and needle-thin racing boats, and have a chance to try our indoor rowing, kayaking and cycling training equipment. We’ll even set up a short race for fun and prizes. Team Building
It’s one thing to talk about communication and teamwork theories – but you’ll have a totally new perspective when your group participates in a Team Building experience. Our team building staff offers 2-hour and half day experiences designed to be fun for everyone. No special skills or athletic ability is needed; just a willingness to try something new as you build better relationships within your group. You choose dragon boating, rowing in a flat-bottomed barge, or our new Olympic Experience Team Building session that includes rowing in our indoor tank and a special presentation by Olympic gold medalist Bryan Volpenhein. Tours
Tours of the Boathouse District are offered at special group rates for your school, civic or social group. It’s a great way to learn about all the exciting opportunities to get involved at the Oklahoma River – rowing, kayaking, dragon boating, running, cycling – and tour the Devon Boathouse, Chesapeake Boathouse, Chesapeake Finish Line Tower and learn more about our upcoming whitewater rafting and kayaking center. We’ll Bring the River to You
The “Oklahoma River Experience” mobile boathouse offers a unique interactive experience highlighting all the activities at the Oklahoma River and the master plan for the Boathouse District – and we’ll bring it to your school, business, church or civic organization. The experience includes our 35 ft mobile exhibit, indoor rowing and kayaking demonstrations, plus video tours of the new boathouses and finish line tower. Email us to learn more.
