U.S. Grant & Yukon High Win SandRidge Cups

Rowing teams from NW Classen, U.S. Grant, Putnam City, Metro Career Academy, ASTEC Charter School, Oklahoma School of Science & Mathematics, and Santa Fe South high schools, and kayak teams from Yukon, Bethany and NW Classen wrapped up their 10-week fall season with the SandRidge OKC RIVERSPORT Youth League Championship Wednesday, Nov. 16 on the Oklahoma River.

Congratulations to U.S. Grant High School for pulling out a win at the SandRidge RIVERSPORT Youth League Championship in rowing. Second place went to Metro Career Academy while NW Classen finished third.

Yukon High school took the SandRidge Cup in the kayak event, with P.C. West finishing second and PCO taking third.

Rowing teams will competed in a series of 500m sprint races for the city-wide championship; kayakers competed in 200m events in single and double kayaks and on stand up paddle boards.
