Run & Cycle
RIVERSPORT Run
The Oklahoma River offers 13+ miles of trails and there’s no better way to explore them than on a run. Serious runners use the Oklahoma River for training runs, while casual joggers and families enjoy this downtown treasure at a more leisurely pace. Running groups meet regularly at the river with informal RIVERSPORT teams training and racing together at community events such as Red Bud and the Memorial Marathon.
Join us April through October for RIVERSPORT Run & Walk, a free program that meets Tuesdays at 6p at the Chesapeake Boathouse.
RIVERSPORT Ride
Whether you’re a serious cyclist in training or are just biking for fun, you’ll enjoy exploring the Oklahoma River’s 13+ miles of trails or the scenic routes at the Route 66 Boathouse at Lake Overholser. Bring your own bike or rent one – the choice is yours.
If you’ve been thinking about getting into cycling but aren’t sure where to get started, check out our Thursday RIVERSPORT Ride on the Oklahoma Trails. It’s a fun, easy ride for anyone new to the sport. Rides are held April through October, weather permitting.
