2023 USA Canoe Slalom National Team Selections and Level 3 World Ranking Races

OKLAHOMA CITY (April 11, 2023) – RIVERSPORT OKC will host the 2023 USA Junior, U23 and Senior Canoe Slalom National Team Selections and Level 3 World Ranking Races on April 14-16 in downtown OKC’s Boathouse District. There will be 39 athletes from the United States, Canada and Mexico who will be competing in both Canoe/ Kayak Slalom and Extreme Slalom races. 

“As a US Olympic and Paralympic Training Site, we greatly value the opportunities to utilize our world class RIVERSPORT Rapids as a forum for athletes to pursue their performance goals to advance their Olympic dreams and aspirations,” said Mike Knopp, RIVERSPORT Executive Director. 

The 2023 Canoe Slalom Team Selections will qualify athletes for a position to represent the U.S., Canada, and Mexico in this year’s national races. Level 3 World Ranking Races will earn racers a spot in the world rankings and select teams to compete in the World Cups and World Championships.

ABOUT: RIVERSPORT OKC is a US Olympic and Paralympic Training Site for both rowing and canoe/kayak. The nonprofit organization has hosted numerous national and international canoe/kayak race events including 2016 US Olympic Team Trials for Canoe Slalom, 2022 ICF Canoe Sprint Super Cup and 2022 Stand Up Paddling World Cup.
