Welcome to RIVERSPORT OKC!

Located in downtown Oklahoma City, RIVERSPORT is a $100M+ sports destination for both rowing and paddlesports. A US Olympic and Paralympic Training Site, RIVERSPORT has hosted national and international sprint and slalom competitions including multiple national championships, national team trials, World Cups and Olympic Trials.

RIVERSPORT has been selected to host the 2026 Canoe Slalom World Championships and in June, 2024, was named as the Canoe Slalom venue for the LA28 Olympic Games (pending final approval of the LA City Council).

Competition Venue

RIVERSPORT’s course is 304.8m long and drops 5.15m from start to finish with eight million gallons of water powered by six pumps.

Training Dates

RIVERSPORT will offer optional training sessions for three days prior to competition, 25.03.24 to 27.03.25, and again for up to 10 days post competition. All training sessions are paid by the athlete and must be reserved in advance; pricing and a reservation will be posted in January.

Location

RIVERSPORT is located in the city’s Boathouse District adjacent to downtown Oklahoma City at the intersection of I35 and I40, the crossroads of the nation. The 100-acre development includes a series of iconic boathouses and four-story finish line tower, the whitewater center, a six-story adventure course, a zip line, surfing and an indoor ski slope.

RIVERSPORT is also located within walking distance of downtown’s Bricktown entertainment district which means great hotels, restaurants and entertainment are just steps away.

TRANSPORTATION TO OKLAHOMA CITY

Located at the crossroads of I-35, I-40 and I-44, Oklahoma City is as easy to reach as it is to navigate. With more than 2,400 miles of four-lane roads, it’s been ranked as the sixth most drivable city in the U.S.

Airport to Hotel Transportation
Many hotels offer shuttle service to the airport; please check with your hotel directly for details.


Taxi Service
Taxis are located in the Transportation Plaza accessed from the baggage claim (lower) level. Average fare from the airport to downtown is $25USD. Uber and Lyft are also available; download the apps to schedule rides.


Shuttle Service
Public vans are onsite to meet all scheduled flights and transport incoming passengers to their desired destination. ACCREDITATION

Accreditation passes (credentials) will be required to access the venue and will be available at Registration for registered athletes and coaches. Registration and race information will be headquartered in the RIVERSPORT Whitewater Center.

Athletes and Support Staff should register using the ICF SDP system a minimum of two weeks prior to the event.


Extra Services

Medical Services
During the event period RIVERSPORT will provide first aid service. Please note that this medical service will cover only emergency cases and that all participants are responsible to arrange, at their cost, their own medical insurance policy.


Spectators
Admission to racing will be free; parking will be $10USD.

You will receive a confirmation email once your information has been received. All applicants requesting accreditation will be added to the ICF’s media mailing list to receive ICF media releases. The Media Area on-site is situated next to the finish line and the officials area.
