“RIVERSPORT is an awesome and unique attraction in our city, and it’s a perfect place for MetroFamily’s Thrive Fest. I encourage you to check out the event with your family on March 25!” ~ OKC Mayor David Holt
OKLAHOMA CITY (March 21, 2023) – Families are invited to enjoy activities at RIVERSPORT OKC and interact with more than 35 community businesses and nonprofits at a new annual festival, OKC Thrive Fest. Hosted by MetroFamily and held March 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the festival is a local celebration of family health and wellness designed to engage and inspire all ages and abilities by connecting attendees with local resources in the areas of physical health, mental wellness, nutrition and safety.
“We are excited to welcome OKC Thrive Fest to RIVERSPORT,” said Executive Director Mike Knopp. “Creating opportunities for youth and families to thrive outside is at the heart of our mission, and we are grateful to share that vision with MetroFamily Magazine.”
Admission to the event is free but there is a $5 parking fee. Among the free things to do at the event are dozens of OKC Thrive Fest vendor booth activities – like battle arena, dance and exercise mini-classes, agility skill tests, art activities and more – plus RIVERSPORT activities, such as raft paddling on the lower pond, cloud bounce, sky tykes adventure course, kid’s zip line, extreme air jumper, Pump Track (bring your own bike and helmet), Racer Rollers and yard games.
Attendees will have the option to upgrade to an all-day, all-access pass to enjoy even more activities at RIVERSPORT on March 25 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., including Surf OKC, Ski OKC, Sky Trail, Sky Slides, Rumble Drop, Spider/Mountain Climbing, Nordic Climbing, Climbing Wall and eSports. Each activity has an age and/or a height requirement. The special rate of $24.99 per person for the all-access pass is a $15 savings over the normal rate.
In addition to all the active fun and community connection provided at this festival, attendees will receive a free event bag (while supplies last) and can participate in a passport program and photo contest for opportunities to win prizes.
For faster entry and a guaranteed event bag, families are encouraged to preregister at metrofamilymagazine.com/okcthrivefest.
