Lake Overholser Boathouse
RIVERSPORT’s Lake Overholser Boathouse is located on the east shore of Lake Overholser just south of the historic Route 66 bridge and offers access to the North Canadian River and Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge for rowing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. The Trailhead Cafe offers drinks and snacks daily. You’ll find boathouse and Flat Tide rental hours here.
Last kayak/SUP rental one hour prior to closing.
Guided group paddling excursions into the adjacent Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge are available by reservation, and both sunset and full moon paddles are held throughout the season.
Summer camps ensure kids get the opportunity to explore local trails while also learning to kayak and stand up paddle board. Trails along the lake’s edge provide a beautiful setting for running, cycling or leisurely walks.
The boathouse is available for private events including family reunions, community meetings, birthday parties and weddings. Adults enjoy the quiet setting; kids will enjoy adventures including a giant swing, climbing wall and a double zip line across the water.
About Lake Overholser Boathouse
A landmark structure on the lake for decades, the Lake Overholser Boathouse marks where rowing first made its debut in Oklahoma. It was renovated in 2018 with a $2 million grant from the Ann Lacy Foundation and is now a community gathering place, providing access to the water for both elite and recreational athletes.
